Keynote Speaker: Greg Cater
Greg Cater was born in LaGrange, Georgia. He graduated from LaGrange High School in 1976 and went on to play College Football at UT Chattanooga from 1976-1980 as a punter. In 1976 he was named Most Valuable Player, and finished in the top 5 in the nation with an average punting distance of 44.2 yards. From 1977-79 he was named to the First Team All Conference for the Southern Conference. Greg was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 1980 where he played for 4 years. Over the next four years he punted for the Memphis Showboats, the Orlando Renegades and the St Louis (Now Arizona) Cardinals until retiring from the National Football League in 1988. Greg and his wife, Robin have two grown children, Carley (Tyler) and Jo Bethany (Ben) and five grandchildren, Tucker, Knox, Poppie, Layla Cate, and Warren. During his time at UTC, Greg earned a degree in business administration, and following his time in the NFL, he earned a masters in divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has spent many years in ministry and that is where is greatest passion lies, working and serving and sharing the love of Jesus with people.
