What is a Character Coach?
A Character Coach is a volunteer who engages, equips, and empowers coaches and athletes spiritually through personal, character, and leadership development. The mobilization of Character Coaches is a key initiative for FCA as we pursue the mission of leading every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.
Giving a weekly devotion or character talk is not being a Character Coach; that’s being a guest speaker. A Character Coach establishes a consistent presence with specific teams and sets the tone for future ministry opportunities in huddles, 1 on 1 discipleship, and through events.

Dear Students,
To say this year has been tough sure is an understatement. With one thing after the next getting canceled, postponed, forgot about, you are stuck wondering what’s next and when will this end.
The one thing that hasn’t changed is God’s love for you. Through all the heartache and fear God is there.
When schools are shut down, God is open and waiting to hear from you.
When expectations go unmet, God is urging you to put your hopes and expectations on Him.
When the burden seems too heavy to carry, God is saying his Yoke is easy and His burden is light.
When you find yourself stuck in a place you don’t feel loved, look to God as the giver of unconditional love.
When your games get canceled and your identity is shaken, place your identity in the creator who made you.
When the path ahead seems more blurry than ever, set your eyes upon the Lord to guide your next step.
In all things, through all things, fix your eyes upon the Lord, and then take one step closer to Him each day, letting the lamp of the Lord guide you through uncertain times.
We love you and are praying for you daily ❤️
These SWEET SWEET young ladies!
Thanks to @jenniesallen my living room has been filled every Monday evening with love, laughs and the Lord!
I pray y’all continue to trade in striving in this world for abiding in our Lord. I pray you know that in your own strength you are NOT enough but through the strength of the Lord within you, He is enough for you!!
Y’all are beautiful, smart, courageous, and kind. My life as been blessed learning with y’all this summer ❤️

This week we are challenging y’all to share your testimony with us! Sharing the story of how God is moving in your life is so powerful!

Truth coming from @moisom 👏🏼👏🏼 Too often we satisfy our emotions in place of pushing deep into scripture (1 John 1:6) and Gods love to uncover harsh truths that will ultimately let us live a life glorifying Him!
We challenge you to not shy away from hard conversations about your faith. But choose to step into them knowing you are wrapped in Christ’s love and that through His transformational power you will be set free! ( 2 Corinthians 3:17)
Challenge 🚨
Yesterday, FCA Staff from across the state gathered and we prayed for our coaches as we start this 2019-2020 school year.
We challenge you today to be in prayer for your coaches and their family today. Whether you are an athlete, parent, spouse, or coach yourself we want to spend sometime today lifting our coaches in NWMT up in prayer.
Congratulations to Clarksville High School’s very own Lucy Chilcutt for being the 2019 FCA Leadership award scholarship recipient! This award is sponsored by the Kevin Kennedy Foundation and honors a graduate who has shown outstanding leadership traits within the FCA at their school. We are so thankful for Lucy and her dedication to FCA and we wish her well as she goes on to play basketball at Cumberland University this Fall!
For our last #meettheteamtuesday we are highlighting our Administrative Assistant Christal Schlegel! Christal moved to Tennessee 6 years ago with husband Stephen who is retired military. Both Christal and Stephen are enrolled at our local university ( APSU), Christal is a history major and Stephan is an art major. FCA has given them an opportunity to invest in their community in an eternal way. Christal speaks of FCA as "an exceptional ministry that not only challenges us to be Christ-like, but also encourages us to be his hands and feet."

It’s #meettheteamtuesday and this week we want to highlight our very own Christine Lang!! Christine Lang was once on staff with NWMT FCA from January 2014 to October 2017 as an Area Representative. Since then she has gone overseas for a 6 month mission trip and found her way back to NWMT FCA as one of our administrators. She has always believed in the ministry of FCA and looks forward to helping FCA grow in the Montgomery, Stewart, Houston and Cheatham county areas. We are very thankful for her constant support and love of FCA!!
For our first #meettheteamtuesday we want to introduce our fearless leader Gary Rankhorn! He is starting his 20th year with FCA and currently serves as the NWMT Area Director. We are very thankful for his love and dedication to our ministry!
